This program offers matching grants up to $2,500 for the structural or cosmetic improvement of businesses in Reedsport. Grants to businesses within the Urban Renewal District are funded by the Urban Renewal Agency.
The grant amount requested cannot total more than 50% of the total project cost or $2,500, whichever is greater. In-kind contributions such as labor can count towards the match. Projects that are complete under budget will receive the amount needed to cover the actual costs, with the remaining funds cycling back into the grant program in order to benefit more businesses throughout Reedsport. All projects must be completed six months from the time that the grant is awarded. Extensions may be given under certain circumstances. & RIBBON CUTTINGS On Wednesday, January 29th, we gathered for a ribbon cutting at Nick’s Garage. It is located at 778 E Railroad Avenue - across the street from the Reedsport Eye Clinic on Winchester Avenue in Old Town Reedsport. We extend a warm welcome to Nick Long to our Reedsport business community! On Saturday, January 25th, we celebrated a ribbon-cutting for Leona's Restaurant. They are located in the Safeway Plaza, 1501 Highway 101, Reedsport. Their hours are 7 am - 2 pm daily. We wish them many years of success! DECK THE HALLS HOLIDAY LIGHT CONTEST WINNERS We thank everyone who participated in the 2024 Holiday Light Contest. The displays were all unique and captured the essence of the holiday season. We received entries from two Reedsport businesses and six residents. Each of the winners will receive our traditional hand-crafted plaque. In addition, the Reedsport Main Street Program's Board of Directors will give each winner a $25 gift certificate to a Reedsport business of the winner's choice.
