The Reedsport Main Street Board of Directors is excited to announce the reintroduction of the four committees effective April 2024. These committees are our overarching guide toward revitalizing our downtown district. We invite you to join us. Our community's input and skills are needed. Design Committee
The Design Committee is intended to support our community's transformation by enhancing both the physical and visual assets that set our commercial districts apart. The Design Committee's goal is to preserve and enhance our district’s buildings, landmarks, and public spaces. Past revitalization projects for this committee include Main Street Banners, Holiday Decorations, and the Steam Donkey Preservation Project.
This committee meets on the third Wednesday of the month.
Economic Development Committee
The goal of the Economic Development Committee is to build on our commercial district’s unique characteristics to strengthen investment and promote economic vitality. They are working on projects such as storefront enhancements, developing pop-up business opportunities, and offer the Business Improvement Grant.
This committee meets on the fourth Wednesday of the month.
Promotion Committee
The Promotion Committee is the heart and soul of a commercial district's activity. Its goal is to entice shoppers, investors, and visitors to experience Reedsport’s distinct culture and environment. This committee develops new events, supports existing activities and events, supports fundraising efforts, and increases networking opportunities in the community.
This committee meets on the second Thursday of the month.
Outreach Committee
Creating a strong foundation for a sustainable revitalization effort is the goal of the Outreach Committee. This committee works on cultivating partnerships, community involvement, and resources for the district. Our current projects include our annual Open House and working with volunteers.
This committee meets on second Saturday of the month.
Board of Directors
The Board of Directors is the governing body of the Reedsport Main Street Program. The Board is responsible for making decisions that fall outside of individual committees, regulating the Program's structure, and providing guidance to the committees.
The monthly Board meetings take place at City Hall on the third Tuesday of the month.
